Travel a little

You know what they say about Mauritius! You do right?
Ok, it was Mark Twain. He once wrote, " Mauritius was made first and then heaven, heaven being copied from Mauritius.

I figured he wasn't all wrong. Mauritius is indeed beautiful country. However, India has a lot more to offer. I'm in love with my country and an avid supporter of #IncredibleIndia.
That being announced, I would like to shift my focus back to Mauritius which indeed is a lovely place.

Mainly an ethnically and religiously diverse mix of people of Indian, African, French and Chinese heritage.

Mauritius is the tropical paradise with a booming economy. I wonder why?!
The country is as quiet as the amount of noise it makes with its beauty. The roads are well maintained. People carry the attitude which is most definitely fun, lively, positive and welcoming.

I stayed at the InterContinental Mauritius, set at the Balaclava. Fell in love with the hotel! First sight, Love!
Rooms have flat-screen tv, free wifi, bath tubs, mini bar, balconies/terrace and dream like comfort.

The 5-star was of course had its own private beach with two pools, tennis courts, spa and 5 restaurants ranging from Asian fusion to Mediterranean cuisine. Love!

The staff of course was well trained but a little something did happen for me to not give them full marks on it.
Moving on, I was there around mid of March, it was hot but nothing compared to Delhi's mad summer. So, I survived. Delhi heat has trained me well. Besides that Mauritius has beaches, remember!
There wasn't much for shopping since I like any other woman would love to. A little disappointed there. That made my partner very happy!
The first half of every day was spent finding more and more about Mauritius and latter, enjoying the amenities offered by the hotel!

Apart from the hotel, the warmth we received from the locals, amazing beaches..worthy of mentioning experience was at +Casela Nature & Leisure Park ! It was mind blowing.  The walk with the Lion..let me know if you figure out a way express the feeling that you get when you share the space with the KING OF THE JUNGLE!!!!!

The only thing I bought! +Casela Nature & Leisure Park
Because hips don't lie!

Another attraction of Mauritius is Port Louis. The island is just about anything and everything you could wish for! Photos don't do justice to the kind of feel you get there.
You will see a lot of people picnic-ing! The old-school style. The group I hung out with was the one that played music on guitar and sang. A little bit of dancing around the trees is something we don't miss. Bollywood style. ;)

The water was tempting as hell! Beer with such a view is just another  way of explaining how I imagine heaven!

The chill vibe in Mauritius is what I have fallen in love with! Like a true tourist at heart, I did check out all the popular/touristy spots and for the 100th time, loved it. The only thing I did not was Mauritius nightlife. Don't ask me why. However, the hope to visit the place again and dance like noone's watching never dies.
On that note, bye bye Mauritius! Thank you so much for being nice and fun. I have hopes for you to be wild and adventurous..the next time.
